DW Ch8 P14

I assure you, there is an explanation for this.

  1. Eh, that doesn’t mean much. Mental illnesses are on a spectrum, and at one time reading novels was considered grounds to committing a woman to an asylum.

    1. Like many fantasy cartoons, the Draconis Wicked world is part medieval and part enlightened. Their understanding of mental illness is probably not as refined as it should be, but not completely archaic either.

However, what’s important here is that Yapix is ashamed of his diagnosis and Talos blurted it out to humiliate him. There’s a lot more to this story. The next update will make things much clearer.

  2. BTW, I think you meant “dissent” in the third panel. Other than that, I’m very very curious as to what Yapix’s diagnosis was, though my first thought was, “… so he’s sparky?” XD

    1. Oops, thanks for catching that error. It’s fixed now.
“Sparky” might not be a bad description, regardless of whatever happens next.

  3. I genuinely did not see this coming

    1. Based on your past comments, you did think Yapix’s story about being locked up for slander was a little sus.
