This is kind of an obvious joke, but we'd all regret it if I didn't include it. When I first started writing this chapter, comic strips like this once were supposed to be the focus: The landlord almost finds something incriminating and the stressed-out gang tries to distract him. On their own, these ideas felt kind of weak, so, during the hiatus, I though about some different things I'd like to do with the strip, came up with the stuff about the secret message and made more things happen at once.
