There it is. The big twist (or should I say one of several big twists) that I've been planing since the first year of this comic. If you go back to comic #47, you can see that these much younger versions of Claude and Ginkgo have been there from the start. Oddly, forest-dwelling hermit Ginkgo looks neater and cleaner than hippie Ginkgo. Full disclosure: I wasn't sure if Claude would be a part of that group from the beginning or if there would be a story about how he joined them later. I think I drew tye-dye shirt man in a way that he could have been a younger version of Claude or he could have been a guy who just coincidentally looked similar to Claude. That way, I would be covered no matter what direction I chose. I don't remember specifically telling anyone, "no, that's not Claude," but if I did, that's probably how I believed that the story would go at that point. Tune in on Thursday for a little more backstory and loose end tying-up.
