We all knew he could do it. Oddly, while I was drawing, my iTunes randomly selected Leonard Cohen's Halleujah as the song to play during the inking of this page. So, I'm listening to this soulful piece of music, while working on a dramatic scene where a lion-man storms into an empty colosseum to play a carnival game as a test of his strength and honor. It really made the absurdity of this moment sink in. And that's the magic of comics. They can take these absurd moments and make them fit any mood they want, even soulful.
