The 2025 Lunar Calendar in on sale in the shop!
Did you know that each month’s full moon has a name? We’re going to use those names as drawing prompts in a year-round art challenge where we make one work of art for each full moon.
Full Moon Art Challenge 2024
Rules:
1.) Make a work of art using the month’s full moon name as a prompt.
2.) Post your art within three days of the full moon (the day before, the day of, or the day after.)

4.) Repeat for each month.
For 2024, we will use old German moon names as our drawing prompts.

Notes:
Do I need to register or be invited?
-Nope. Just start drawing.
Does the moon itself have to be in my picture?
-Only if you want it there.
Can I use other moon names that aren’t on the list?
-No. The prompt list changes each year. If you use another name, you might be using up a future year’s prompt.
What medium can I use?
-Anything you want.
When can a make my moon art?
-Start your next piece anytime after the previous full moon has passed. You don’t have to spend all 28 days on a piece, but you’ll have about 28 days to make each one.
I didn’t discover this event until it was half-over. Can I still join in?
-I don’t see why not.
