For the THIRTEENTH(!) year in a row, I’ve created a gallery of fancy Easter eggs. This year’s theme is Pokemon, and you can check them out HERE.
With over 800 Pokemon to choose from, how did I pick which pocket monsters would be featured in this year’s lineup? I picked a favorite starter Pokemon from each game generation and gave that Pokemon it’s own egg design.
I was inspired by the newest starters from the unreleased Generation 9 games, Pokemon: Violet and Scarlet. This year seemed like the right time to celebrate the newest faces in our Pokedex.
(Plus, I really enjoy putting characters who hatch from eggs on eggs. I had a lot of fun with my Yoshi’s Island designs in 2020 and I’m hoping to recapture some of that magic.)
So, which Pokemon would I choose? If you’ve paid any attention to the kind of critters I draw, I’ll bet you can guess a few of them. (Hint: I hope you like lots of grass types.) How do my choices stack up to yours?
