I'm trying to keep this story moving, but I couldn't resist a vacation montage. For such a simple series of moments, this was a big job to draw. 38 different characters/instances of characters, multiple wardrobe changes, venue changes, action shots - I had started the pencils for some of these scenes back in August! But I'm glad I kept this page and I'm happy enough with how it looks. It's just a nice set of moments.
Thank you, everyone who hung around while I got my schedule back in order. For reasons that are hard to explain, my other job has been taking up an unusual amount of my time and energy. I've been able to maintain a day job and an art studio for years, but the kind of workload imbalance I've been dealing with these past several months is unprecedented. And, as everyone knows, an imbalance in your time means you're really in trouble if an emergency comes up; like when your power goes out or someone's cat runs away and they need you to help search for him (These are NOT hypotheticals, by the way, but worry not, all humans and animals are safe and accounted for at the time of this posting.)
Anyway, it looks like my work schedule is back under control, but now I need to catch up on all the other tasks I had to neglect for various crisises. I'm going to try posting a page of Draconis Wicked every other week for awhile. I don't like slowing things down this much, but if I try to go back to the old schedule too soon, I'll just get jammed up again. Don't worry I want to be back to a new comic every week as fast as I can.
So, this means that the next page will post on December 9th, when we'll get to check back with our missing party members. See you soon.
