The Autumn Moon is Now in Season

It’s interesting to see the name “Autumn Moon” given to the a moon that comes as late as November. One might think that name should be given to a moon closer to the autumn equinox. Most likely, the name referred to the original, literal meaning of the word, “The passing of the year.” Even knowing this history, I’m still posing my moon with cute lil’ leaves and pumpkins.
